Scout’s tip

How Scout checks a deal

If it isn’t on the official website, it doesn’t go on this page. Most of the best savings need no code at all, just the right ticket, card or badge.

  • Each offer shows the date we last checked it
  • Codes appear only when they are real and current
  • Offers change, so confirm the terms before you pay

Why we don’t list hundreds of codes

Many voucher sites fill pages with codes that expired years ago, just to rank in Google. We think that wastes your time. We list fewer offers, but each one is real. Learn how to spot a fake discount code.

More ways to save on days out

  • Under-5s free: many attractions, including National Trust and English Heritage sites, let little ones in free.
  • Carers: lots of attractions offer free or discounted carer tickets for disabled visitors. Ask before booking.
  • Gift Aid tickets: charity attractions often offer a ticket with an optional donation. You can usually choose the standard price instead.
  • Annual passes: compare an annual pass against day tickets.
  • Free days: see our free days out guide.

Frequently asked questions

Are days out discount codes real?
Some are, but many codes on voucher sites are expired or never worked. The most reliable savings come from official schemes like the National Rail Days Out Guide, memberships, annual passes and kids-go-free rules.
How does 2FOR1 with National Rail work?
You travel by train to the attraction, then show your valid National Rail ticket with a Days Out Guide voucher or booking reference to get the offer. Oyster, contactless and TfL tickets don’t qualify. Full guide.
Can I combine discounts?
Usually not. Most attractions allow one offer per ticket, so compare the offers and use the biggest saving.
