Scout’s tip

Scout’s Europe picks

Young kids: Efteling’s Fairytale Forest and LEGOLAND Billund. Mixed ages: Disneyland Paris and Europa-Park. Sun plus rides: PortAventura.

  • Most parks use date-based online pricing
  • Many close or reduce hours in winter
  • Combine with a city break or beach holiday

Disneyland Paris, France

Two parks: Disneyland Park and Disney Adventure World, home of World of Frozen since March 2026. Under-3s free. What’s new.

Efteling, Netherlands

A magical park famous for its Fairytale Forest, with plenty for thrill-seekers too. Brilliant for young children.

Europa-Park, Germany

Germany’s largest theme park, with areas themed on European countries and the Rulantica indoor water park next door. Plan two days.

PortAventura World, Spain

On the Costa Dorada near Salou, with PortAventura Park, Ferrari Land and a water park. A great add-on to a beach holiday.

LEGOLAND Billund, Denmark

The original LEGOLAND (opened 1968), close to LEGO House. Best for ages roughly 2 to 12.

Parc Astérix and Tivoli Gardens

Parc Astérix, near Paris, is fun and full of character. Copenhagen’s Tivoli Gardens, opened in 1843, is one of the world’s oldest amusement parks, magical after dark.
